Everyone is well aware with Twitter. Also almost everyone like to get some reviews (Genuine reviews) before buying anything or before going to watch a movie. But what are the sources we choose for these reviews is a major concern.

We like to refer newspapers, some good sites but you know what, these star ratings are not that great and these reviews are not public reviews, I am not saying that these are 100% fake but yes not 100% genuine too. So whats the better way to get genuine review?

No addon support for Mozilla Firefox 4 beta

Mozilla has recently launched 4th version of Mozilla Firefox. Currently its a beta release.

If you don’t know about the beta version then read -> wikipedia for beta testing

Mozilla has reported that they are using Gecko 2.0 as web platform.

Currently there is no addon support for Mozilla Firefox 4 beta but new features are indicating that mozilla is introducing new Add-Ons Manager for this new release. I think they are working on something unique.

I have tried to install few addons but found no success, I am mozilla team is working on the issue. Hope they incorporate older addon support too just like windows 7 has done for windows XP software installation in compatibility mode.

We are aware of the fact that this is just a beta release and not a stable version of Mozilla Firefox version 4.

But I love the new features mozilla team is incorporating in this new Firefox version.

Stream Movie or Live TV with Skype

If you like to stream Live TV or some movie on skype then its very simple.

You may ask.

What is the use of it?

There are some sites which allow us to do the same. Like webcam broadcast then why skype?

The answer is :

ITS PRIVATE and no one can ban you from this broadcast.

Its nice when you want to watch a movie with your Girlfriend/Boyfriend or Family remotely.

Show some live event like football, cricket or some beauty contest to someone living abroad.

OK lets know the procedure.

Prerequisites or Softwares you need for this:

1) Skype. ( Go to skype.com and download the latest version.)

2) SplitCam or SuperWebCam. ( Search google for the latest version.)

3) If you are planning to broadcast some TV channel and you have TV Tuner card installed in your PC then you need FlyDs to change the channel. (Even trial version will work for the needful. The basic feature we need will not expire.)

Procedure:

Install Skype.

Don’t login yet. If you are logged in then logout and exit it from the startup tray.

Install SplitCam or SuperWebCam. (Anyone will work).

After install, Run SplitCam / SuperWebCam. Go to File > Video Source > Video File and select a video file you want to stream or broadcast.

Movie will start playing. Pause it.

Now login to Skype. Go to Tools > Options > Video Settings (Under “Gereral” Tab). Select Webcam to SuperWebCam or SplitCam. Click Save.

Now make a video call to your Friend. And Play the Movie.

I know there is some problem. Video is there but your friend won’t get Audio until you open the Stereo Mix setting.

For Sound Setting:

Double Click on the sound icon under startup. (Near to the Time of your computer).

Go to Options > Properties. Select Audio Input and check Stereo Mix if its unchecked.

When Sound Panel will display Stereo Mix. Make sure the checkbox under it is unchecked. Check means Mute.

Now your Friend will be able to listen the sound also.

Enjoy Movie together on Skype.

For TV broadcast

Install FlyDs too.

Now open SplitCam first. In Video Source select Your Capture Device (TV Tuner).

Open FlyDs. First scan for the channels and then change the channel. The changed channel will reflect in SplitCam.

Your SplitCam is selected as the video source in skype. So everything should work now.

For Audio

Go to Options > Properties. Select Audio Input and check Stereo Mix (or Line In) if its unchecked.

When Sound Panel will display Stereo Mix (or Line In). Make sure the checkbox under it, is unchecked. Check means Mute.

Enjoy Movie or Live TV with your friend or family.

Unblock or Turn On Facebook Notifications

Sometimes you find lot of notifications of social games like Farmville, Mafiawars, fishville and other on your wall and you disable them.

But what if you want to Unblock or Turn ON some notification on your wall after blocking them.

I have checked about this and found that there is some problem in facebook regarding turning ON the notification settings once they are blocked and found the way to turn ON the blocked notifications.

Go to your Home by logging in to the facebook.

Click “Top News”.

Scroll down the page. At the end of the page you will find “Edit Options”. Click that.

Here you will find all the blocked applications.

Turn ON them and now they will come again on your facebook wall.

Note: If you do this while “Most Recent” News is selected at step 2. Then you will not see the step 4 details. Make sure you have selected “Top News”.

Now i can video chat my friend from anywhere specially when i am under wifi zones like malls etc. Actually i have a wifi connection at home too.

Although this video is testing the application on 5800 but i have tested it on Nokia E75 too.

With the release of Microsoft office 2007 a new document file format docx came into picture.

This new docx format is not compatible with the previous releases of the Microsoft office.

If you get a MS-Word Document file which has this new docx file extension but you have the older version of microsoft office like MS-Office 2000, MS-Office 2003 and you are not able to open the file then don’t worry we have a few very simple solutions for you.

Do you know that Gmail can be used as a folder to store files.
There can be many scenarios where you can use this feature.

Suppose you’re working on a project with one of your friend and often need to share files. If your friend is online then you can send the file by using a messenger. But what if he is offline then you have to send it via e-mail. This is a tiring process when you need to share file and keep record what have you shared and that can be used anytime in future.

Well there is a convenient way which can be used by upload your files on the Gmail server just like copy paste.

The software name is GMail Drive.

Just download the software and install it on your computer and on your friend’s computer. When you install it, a separate drive will be created in “My Computer” with the name Gmail drive.

Double click the Gmail drive. It will ask for the login, just fill in the login information and click OK. It might throw some error. Don’t worry the Gmail needs a secure connection. Click on “more” button and select “ use secure HTTP”.

Try logging again.

Hurray, you have just got a new 7GB hard disk for FREE.

Tell your friend to do the same by using the same login information.
Now whenever you need to share files just copy and paste the files into that Gmail Drive folder.
(Use a separate Gmail account. I am sure you won’t use it on your existing account )

Remember these fights are being sent just like a normal e-mail. So all the file size restrictions are applicable.

Youtube is a video site and doesn’t allow uploading MP3 or Audio files but still we can host MP3 audio files on Youtube.

Have you ever noticed that there are lot of videos on youtube that have an image as video but with the complete audio file or some song in the background.

Now you will ask, what’s the use of this?

Well, the best part is that with this method or trick you can host or upload as many audio files you want on youtube for FREE.

Upload the file and get the embed code (Embed code is used to paste a youtube file on your own site or blog).

You need to make slight adjustment in the embed code by changing its height and width setting to fulfill your need… because you won’t like to show the image attached with the audio file.

Drink lots of water:

Water is very essential for our body. Everybody knows that but we enjoy breaking the rules Your body should always be hydrated. Drink water at regular intervals and avoid substituting it with juice or aerated drinks.

Adequate water helps in the process of digestion and flushes out the toxins from the body. Along with reducing the fat from your body, it also helps making your skin look supple and keeps it glowing. So you can sit back and relax, even the excess of it is not going to harm you.

It is highly advisable to drink water before meals. This is the best way to reduce weight as it would fill up your belly and you would eat lesser. Avoid drinking water just after your meal as it tends to bloat up your stomach and you might feel uncomfortable. Wait for atleast 20-25 minutes if you want to have cold water. However, it is advisable to drink warm water immediately after eating– this will help your body to dissolve excessive fat quickly.

Eat healthy throughout the day:

Don’t go for large meals at long intervals rather, stick to having smaller portions spread throughout the day. Rather than having 3 large meals switch to 5 small ones. You can bifurcate these 5 meals in 3 regular meals and 2 small, sweet size meals.

Stop yourself from consuming huge amounts of carbohydrates if you are not planning to sweat it out physically. Add a proportionate quantity of proteins and fiber-rich food to your meal to make your digestive system work better. Replace high calorie foods with fresh fruits and salads; aerated beverages with fresh fruit juices; and packaged food with home-made food to cut down on your calorie intake. Instead of munching on junk food or ready-to-eat snacks whenever you feel hungry, try to lay your hands on curd, milk shake, biscuits or a fat-free light snack.

Don’t skip your breakfast. Breakfast is very important after you’ve had a long break of not eating anything for at least 7 hours. your calorie intake must decrease as your day comes to a close which means you must have a heavy breakfast (heavy should not mean unhealthy), regular lunch and a light dinner supplemented by light snacks in between the meals. This holds good for a normal day but you must plan accordingly if your work schedule demands otherwise.

Always look for less cholesterol in whatever you eat.

Exercise:

I know what you are thinking !! It’s not that aweful, believe me.

Working out is a major factor which helps in reducing extra flab. It is not advisable though to start exercising the moment you wake up. Choose a time which suits you best. Hitting the gym is preferable as it gives you an option to get the supervision of a trainer but it’s not impossible to lose weight otherwise also. You may initiate the process at your home too by simply warming up for it by a brisk walk or cycling and following it up with yoga or exercise. Swimming is a nice alternative too. Don’t shy away from indulging in outdoor sports. Do not go for 1 hour initially… Start with 20 mins and increase the time slowly.

Eating right is very important here as well. It won’t help if you do not feel fresh after working out. The feeling of being exhausted and famished would drag you away from your work-out. You must consult your trainer what should be eaten before and after your exercise session depending upon the kind of activity you are doing.

Exercising will boost your muscle density and reduce fat. You will start feeling better and certainly will enjoy doing exercise once you notice the results. Make it a habit to reach that stunning shape you are dreaming of.

Tension increases Fat:

Some researches have proved that stress is a major factor in increasing harmful fat in our body. It reduces mental as well as physical strength. It affects your concentration power and increases the chances of a heart stroke too.

Tension won’t give you anything except more tension. Make a habit of making quick decisions to reduce the level of stress in your lives.

You can’t lose weight by watching the television or by reading quick tricks to lose weight on the internet. You will have to do a little effort. After all it’s your body and you want it to be in a better shape, right?!!
