No addon support for Mozilla Firefox 4 beta

no addon support for mozilla firefox 4 beta

Mozilla has recently launched 4th version of Mozilla Firefox. Currently its a beta release.

If you don’t know about the beta version then read -> wikipedia for beta testing

Mozilla has reported that they are using Gecko 2.0 as web platform.

Currently there is no addon support for Mozilla Firefox 4 beta but new features are indicating that mozilla is introducing new Add-Ons Manager for this new release.  I think they are working on something unique.

I have tried to install few addons but found no success, I am mozilla team is working on the issue. Hope they incorporate older addon support too just like windows 7 has done for windows XP software installation in compatibility mode.

We are aware of the fact that this is just a beta release and not a stable version of Mozilla Firefox version 4.

But I love the new features mozilla team is incorporating in this new Firefox version.

Mozilla Firefox 4 Features

A very new UI (User Interface)

New tab Location and Switching to open tabs easily.

HTML 5 support – Better High Definition Video with WebM support.

Improved Privacy Protection

Addon installation without restarting firefox.

Crash Protection from flash player, Quick Time, Silver Light plugins.

Support for cloud based application such as Gmail, Gdocs etc.

I must say that this version will kick all the browsers from the market including the new sensation google chrome.

This new version of Mozilla Firefox v4 will be a powerful tools for web designers, marketers and general user.

We all know the power of mozilla addons.

Firefox is once again is ready to change the browser definition.

Firefox Beta 4 supports add-ons. But just like every other Firefox major update, add-ons are not immediately compatible with the new version.

Add-ons need to be updated to support the new, major release of Firefox.

This has nothing to do with the new Add-ons Manager in Beta 4.
